Gwyneth Paltrow recently revealed that her physician has diagnosed her with a condition called osteopenia, a precursor to the much more serious disease osteoporosis.  The 37 year old actress reportedly has the bones of an 80 year old woman. I suffered a pretty severe tibial plateau fracture a few years ago (requiring surgery) which led the orthopedic surgeon to give me a bone scan, at which point it was discovered I had the beginning stages of osteopenia,” she reveals. Paltrow has been an 11 year follower of a diet popular with celebrities called the macrobiotic diet, which calls for lots of vegetables, whole grains and fruit with small quantities of fish, but  discourages dairy and red meat.
